Hello everyone! My name is N.G.U. I've been working as an English teacher at a public secondary school in Hanoi, Vietnam. I create this blog for many reasons.
First of all, I would like to share my teaching ideas with other teachers who I may learn a lot from. As everyone knows, teaching is a hard job which requires so many skills and techniques. It's hard for us, as teachers, to find out the best teaching method for our students. Therefore, this blog may help me and other teachers to learn from each other to enhance our professional development.
Secondly, I would like to enhance our students' language skills. I can rovide students with regular opportunities to write in English, helping them improve their grammar, vocabulary, and overall writing skills. Besides, I can offer reading materials and comprehension exercises to enhance students' reading skills. Then, they may find audio and video content to develop listening skills and be encouraged to speak through comments or voice recordings.
The third reason for my blog is to promote active learning which includes interactive activities and peer interaction. Interactive exercises and quizzes that reinforce language lessons can be added into the blog and constructive feedback and comments can be seen in order that the students' language knowledge and skills can become better. When students have opportunities to interact more frequently, you will learn from each other. This fosters their autonomy and motivation in learning.
Last but not least, using a class blog helps students become more proficient with digital tools and platforms, which is an essential skill in modern education and professional environments.
By focusing on these aims, my ESL class blog can become an integral part of the language learning process, enhancing both the educational experience and the overall effectiveness of the class.

AI tools can automate routine tasks like grading, lesson planning, and test generation, freeing up teachers' time. This allows Vietnamese educators, who often face heavy administrative loads, to focus on complex skills such as critical thinking, emotional guidance, and ethical development. Students will receive immediate, adaptive feedback, moving instruction beyond rote memorization towards competency-based learning. However, the near-term negative impacts are centered on equity and dependence. Rural schools often lack the necessary digital infrastructure and connectivity, exacerbating the existing digital divide. Furthermore, widespread availability of tools like ChatGPT risks fostering academic misconduct, where students over-rely on AI to complete ass...
